The Click IT Group was formed to help members get to grips with their computers, tablets and smart phones. The bulk of the activity takes place in group sessions held in Rochester Library, where we meet on the second Tuesday of the month.
We operate by scheduling one-to-one appointments during which a member will receive the undivided attention of one of our four volunteer mentors. Typically the appointments are set for 2:00, 2:40 and 3:20. We have found that 40 minutes is usually enough for the brain in one sitting! New for this year, we may be able to offer an earlier session, and if the second Tuesday doesn't work for you, we can find alternative days occasionally.
Registered Group Members will receive an email in advance of each meeting, inviting them to book an appointment. Any unbooked slots will be offered to the wider Medway U3A membership.
We have been able to assist a number of members individually on their computers, by meeting at a convenient library to demonstrate and talk them through their challenges. These have included
- Setting up an email account
- Managing pictures between computers, cameras, phones and memory sticks
- Putting together a Powerpoint presentation
- Word processing and editing documents
