We started in November 2022 as a beginners’ conversation group. We all had some previous experience of learning Italian, from distant O-Levels to more recent Ad Ed courses, but we were not confident about speaking it. 

We are now at elementary - early intermediate level: we help each other to  have simple conversations about what we’ve been doing; we tell each other about our hobbies and holidays, and what we’ve been reading; we  read simplified texts about topics that interest us, and discuss them. 

This is not a course and we don’t follow a book, but we do some work on grammar and use online resources such as Duo Lingo and Passione Italiana, among others, in order to practise and build vocabulary in between sessions.  

We are a small, friendly group, we don’t worry about making mistakes - we see them as opportunities to learn more – and we would welcome some new members.
